The Yoga Of Doing Nothing

far above the city of clouds
on the acme of a mountain aloof
Gods have built a kingdom of peace
fortified by castles of solitude.
there dwells a yogi enlightened
liberated soul, immersed in beatitude
hush and smile adorns his face
"Doing nothing" is his sole pursuit.

taste of world entice him no more,
his eyes see beyond terrestrial goal,
Sky is his roof and the earth his bed,
his musings have escaped the desire's thrall.
One with the sun, the flower and the breeze,
Vastly he exist in union with all.

With every breath the present is touched
through present he drinks the ambrosia called life
no worries of past, no plans of future,
in present he exist, for present he strives.
self has broken the cage of shallow existence
Joy immeasurable and the bliss is rife.

I've arrived

I've arrived, back to this moment,
Leaving past, leaving future,
Leaving behind the vain torment,
Now I drink the wine of mindfulness.

The lonely trail & I

On the canvas of far horizon
Sun is sprinkling colors and beauty
with the brush of its mild rays
rejoicing the divine duty.
At the time of this lovely dusk
again two old friends unite
to share the words of wisdom
the lonely trail and I.

Trail, o my dear friend
you are an aged monk
standing still, amidst these hills,
uttering silence sermon.

Trail, o my dear friend
you are indeed my dear friend
I share with you my inner void
which, otherwise, is hard to comprehend!

Trail, o my dear friend
you resemble a journey of my life
tiresome walk for goals in vain
little bit pleasure, little of strife!

Stars

When life seems confined,
on this limited space called earth,
I gaze at stars in open sky,
Born out of divinity's dust!
Dwelling in the chamber of infinitude,
far beyond the human reach,
When they touch me through a light gleam,
I feel connected through an intimate link,
And I travel to those lands unknown,
Through the silver bridge of light ray,
exploring eternity's splendiferous creation,
Leaving the known terms far away!
I wander alone on the soil of star,
on chariot of my dream and hope,
Seeking to hear unknown's whisper,
how wonderful, this strange grope!
Feeling tired through exhausting journey,
I bath in lovely stream of light,
when the thirst of heart is quenched,
I return, before the night ends!

Krishna's flute

In this lonely, quiet, dark night
when all worldly voices go mute,
craving for a divine melody
I seek to hear your flute.
The day passed in mundane struggle
to resolve the illusionary dispute
Mind fluttered in a sea of karmas
Some pure, some pollute.
yet there is no peace
no terrestrial remedy for the pain acute,
As night draws near
tranquility rules the world, a heavenly attribute,
mind turns inward from surface consciousness
and the soul is ready for the divine salute.
A stream of flute notes touches the mortal world
spreading in universe from the gates of Vaikunth,
A thirsty soul immerses in this stream
to liberate from karmik bondage, o achyut!
it drinks the nectar of eternal tunes
pouring from Krishna's flute.
Gone is grief, Gone pleasure,
Gone all dualities, clean and dilute.
purpose of existance seems fulfilled,
to enjoy your ecstasy, o Absolute!

(Vaikunth - Abode of Krishna, Achyut - another name of krishna)

Glory of GOD

Clouds don't move swiftly in sky by chance
there should be a reason,
Colors of spring have adorned the trees
why so much charm in the season?

who fills Colors in butterfly wings and the lovely rainbow?
Same artist should have designed the sunflower yellow,
who makes godly sages radiant with bliss and glow?
Splendid is their vigor that survives each and every blow!

why my heart beats and breath remains alive?
no conclusion any science can derive.
whose force moves planets and tiny electron?
void can not be the supreme throne!

Endless voyage

when my voyage would end, I know not
such is the plight,
waves of pain and pleasure shake boat of my life
is there any end of this fight?

countless births and deaths haven't tired me
noose of desires holds its grip tight,
and still no shores are visible
how poor is my reason, how fallible is my sight!

fill the sail of my intellect with the wind of knowledge supreme
and lead me to your abode through a path of light
cut the bonds of ignorance with your mercy
may that be the end of voyage and the birth of deathless delight!
